Hi, I’m Dave.

I’m an author-illustrator and former English teacher.

Before writing full-time, I spent years teaching English and working with students in classrooms. I hold a degree in English Education and a Master’s in Counseling, which means I think a lot about how people process fear, confidence, and change, especially at a young age.

That background shows up in my work. I write stories that don’t flatten difficult feelings. Instead, they make space for courage, imagination, and the subtle assignment of figuring things out.

Some of my work is written for children. Some of it is written for adults. All of it is built with attention to emotional clarity and to the reader's trust.
